Defending Wildlife & Wild Places in the Greater Yellowstone

A small but vocal non-profit using science and law to protect wildlife, habitat, and migration corridors across southwestern Montana and the northern Rocky Mountains.

Federal Legislation

Opposing the Fix Our Forest Act

Senate Bill S.1462 would undermine the Endangered Species Act, restrict judicial review, shorten challenge periods from six years to 150 days, and expand categorical exclusions to 10,000 acres without environmental review.

Policy

Defending the Roadless Rule

The USDA is moving to repeal protections for roadless areas — essential for wilderness designation, wildlife habitat, and clean water. A final decision is expected later this year.

Protect the Full HPBH Wilderness Study Area

The Gallatin Forest Partnership proposes reducing the Hyalite/Porcupine/Buffalo-Horn WSA by 40%. We're fighting for full protection of this critical wildlife corridor in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem.
